Subcontract Manufacturing Management
Subcontract manufacturing does not only cover labor operations, such as having a certain operation done at the supplier.
It also includes different applications such as using the materials required for manufacturing by borrowing them from the contract manufacturer and using them during the manufacturing phase, and sending the product produced by the supplier to the procuring company by adding some materials.
In this process, monitoring the waste rates in the manufacturing phase and the stocks of the main company in the supplier is a process that needs to be followed in detail. vSRM Subcontract Manufacturing tracking enables this process to be digitized in an uninterrupted manner, integrated with your ERP system.
Subcontract Purchase order and subcontract manufacturing bill of materials
Material lists (BOM), usage amounts, waste rates, material supply times, etc. for subcontract operations defined in your ERP system. Subontract product tree (BOM) information is defined by automatically transferring from the vSRM system or uploading it manually or in excel format if this information is not defined in your ERP system. Orders for configuration products are dynamically managed on a custom subcontract manufacturing bill of materials (BOM).
Calculation of materials to be transferred for subcontract manufacturing
vSRM calculates the material transfers required for subcontract manufacturing by considering the amount of material available in the supplier in MRP logic. Creates transfer plans for the supply of subcontract materials. In order to carry out subcontract manufacturing without interruption, material supply and transfers are planned.
Subontract manufacturing stock tracking
The transfer movements of the materials transferred to the supplier are automatically transferred to the vSRM system. Material decreases are performed automatically according to supplier manufacturing notifications, BOM and waste rates. The stocks of products manufactured at the supplier and ready for shipment are monitored online.
Lot/Series tracking
During the subcontract manufacturing phase, product traceability is managed without interruption. The product traceability is ensured by making the consumption of the materials used in the production phase according to the lot and serial numbers.
Integrated with Field Quality Control module
In project-based industries, where intermediate controls or final quality control processes are carried out at the manufacturer’s location and quality control and acceptance processes are carried out before the product leaves the manufacturer, subcontract manufacturing processes work in an integrated manner with field quality control processes.
Billing approval for subcontract transactions
Controlled invoicing is ensured by giving invoicing approvals through vSRM after the input quality control processes of the products manufactured and shipped pursuant to the Subcontract Purchase Order.
